How To Use Your Voice
Workshop #2
Tuesday, February 22nd, 6:30pm
You were made to SING!
Have you wanted to feel more confident with your singing voice? Long to make a clear, stronger sound? Wish you could extend your range, with out straining? Whether you’re inexperienced and looking for a place to start, or have some training under your belt, this evening will give you the understanding and tools to sing your heart out, have a good time doing it, and improve your singing ability.
PROJECT 1:11 Is pleased to offer our latest workshop, equipping you to learn to use the instrument God gave you — your voice! You’ll learn about the mechanics of your voice and how to use it most effectively. The simple techniques apply to all types/genres of singing and emphasize vocal health (so you can sing great for a long time and not ruin your voice).
Workshop #2 will give specific attention to: singing in different registers, managing your voice “break”, and possibly have some “masterclass” moments, coaching and demonstrating with others singing live.
Jessie Still, founder of the House of Prayer- East Lansing, and Senior Pastor of Spirit of Christ Church will be leading this seminar. Jessie is a veteran singer (began classical training 28 years ago) and worship leader (20+ years). He earned his BA in Music from Eastern Michigan University, with a concentration in Voice and Piano. He loves empowering people in their expression and carries a spirit of encouragement — you’ll feel empowered and encouraged in your singing, and as a person, after attending this seminar. :)
The workshop will take place at the Project 1:11 space,
located at 213 1/2 E. Grand River Ave. East Lansing, 48823.
There is a $25 suggested donation for the workshop, to support the ongoing work of Project 1:11- making Jesus’ Name great in our city through the arts. Your generosity toward this growing movement is greatly appreciated!
