Mission

We raise up worshipers who make God’s name great through the arts.

Vision

For God’s name to be made great through the arts.

Our Story

Project 1:11 is an initiative through the House of Prayer-East Lansing.

My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty.

Born from the heart of Malachi 1:11, the initiative is an overflow of intercession for 24/7 prayer and worship to arise in Lansing. As artists and musicians create with Jesus at the center of their work, we believe God’s name will be made great in our city. Project 1:11 seeks to helps bring this reality to the Lansing area through equipping artists and showcasing their work.

The initiative began in December of 2016, as Justin Reid began making music with his friends. With a Masters in Music Theory Pedagogy, the Lord showed Reid that there were two roads he could travel. He could focus on his own career as a musician, artist, and songwriter, or he could train up others to do the same thing he has done and do it even better. Reid said yes to investing in people to see the multiplication of worship leaders, artists, and songwriters for God’s kingdom. This reality began with music lessons and songwriting classes in 2017 and has expanded to the worship school it is today. In saying yes, we believe Project 1:11 partners with one of God’s dreams for Lansing.

To achieve the fullest expression of Malachi 1:11 in our city, we believe Project 1:11 must be a multilingual and multicultural expression of worship. One day every single tribe, tongue and nation will worship Jesus on His throne. Why wait when we could begin declaring the Lord’s greatness together now? As the church comes together across cultural and racial lines to worship Jesus, we believe a bride will be made ready for the return of Christ. The more we seek Him together, the more we will want to give ourselves to Him.
